SPECTRUM 19 OFF TO PRESS!2012-08-08

We apologize that we've been letting the SFAL Facebook page do the heavy lifting lately, but we've been so swamped in the aftermath of Spectrum Live 1 and putting Spectrum 19 together that we haven't had a lot of opportunity to put up new tidbits here regularly. That's about to change, trust us! As 2012 winds down and we prep for 2013, things WILL get interesting, so check back with us regularly to see what's happening.
The b-i-g news for the moment is that Spectrum 19 is off to press, just as fat and sassy as the previous volume: 304 pages! If the schedule holds it should be in stores well before Thanksgiving (yes, just in time for the holidays) – and note that #19 is one of the Hot Picks in the current Diamond Previews catalog. If you get Spectrum through your favorite comics shop... now's the time to place your order.
The covers this time? Brom for the front and Lisa Falkenstern on the back. If you opt for the hardcover, the art on the case is different than the DJ art: the case features Jeremy Enecio on the front and Bill Carman on the back. And endpapers are by Stephen Hickman.
Some people have asked if we're going to continue the reprint program for out of print volumes. For the time being, the answer is no. Borders was a major supporter of the Spectrum backlist and since they went under we believe the market needs a little time to catch back up. We'll see what the future holds. (However, we DO have some copies of various o.p. volumes available: check out the store to see what we have.)
More news on the way! Things are going to get exciting!
