Spectrum 22 Jury Event Starts Tomorrow!
The Spectrum 22 jury arrives in Santa Cruz, California today! Justin Gerard, Virginie Ropars, Greg Ruth, Annie Stegg Gerard and Dice Tsutsumi will convene on Saturday, February 28th at the Flesk offices to cast their votes for the works that will be included in Spectrum 22. Spectrum 22 Jury Event Coming February 28!
The Spectrum 22 jury consisting of Justin Gerard, Virginie Ropars, Greg Ruth, Annie Stegg Gerard and Dice Tsutsumi will convene on February 28th at the Flesk offices in Santa Cruz, California to cast their votes for the artwork that will be included in Spectrum 22. Each jury member votes anonymously and independently, except when they discuss as a group the recipients for the silver and gold awards. A majority of three or more votes earns placement in Spectrum 22.
The flights and hotels have been booked, the artwork is ready and the Flesk/Spectrum crew is all set. Watch this website on February 28th for videos and pictures of the day as it unfolds.
Spectrum 22 Submissions Ready for the Jury!
After two weeks of dedicated work since the call for entries deadline we have just finished reviewing all of the Spectrum 22 submissions. It's important to us that every piece of art was labeled correctly, that the online artwork opened properly and that the submission forms are accurately filled out. We even sent partial refunds to approximately twenty people who overpaid. Online entries were confirmed by email. Print submissions by mail are confirmed when your payment is processed. The artwork is ready to be viewed by the jury on February 28th. Thanks to everyone who submitted!

The Spectrum 22 Call for Entries Deadline is January 26th!
The Call for Entries for Spectrum 22 ends on January 26th. Submit by mail or online! All artworks in all media embracing the themes of science fiction, fantasy, horror and the surreal are eligible. There is no unacceptable way to create art. Imagination and skill are what matters. Work chosen by the jury will be printed in full color in the Spectrum annual, the peer-selected "best of the year" collection for the fantastic arts.
